Happy birthday, Canada! Prepare to celebrate our nation’s 148th birthday without traveling far from your Fergus apartment. For today’s post, our preferred property management company Williams and McDaniel has put together an overview highlighting some of the local festivities.
The fun begins at breakfast
Kick off Canada Day 2015 with a delicious pancake breakfast. The Elora Volunteer Firefighter Breakfast will take place at MacDonald Square (1 Macdonald Square). This location is less than a ten-minute drive from the Executive Suites at 338 Gordon Street. The breakfast runs from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. After breakfast, attend the nearby Dominion Day Parade, which meets at the Elora Community Centre (21 David Street West) at 11:00 a.m.
Afternoon activities for all ages
Children will love all of the fun-filled activities happening at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex (550 Belsyde Avenue East) this July 1st holiday. Bike less than ten minutes from Aberdeen Place Apartments (91 Westminster Crescent) between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to join this nearby celebration. Afternoon activities happening here will include the midway, free pony rides and an antique car and tractor show. The first 500 children to arrive will receive free birthday cake.
The Canada Day 2015 finale
The music begins at 5:00 p.m. Sit back and enjoy live performances by Tommy Gilham followed by Corduroy Road. After the concert will be the annual fireworks show, a highlight of the holiday.
